CHINGOLA’S MANHOOD DISAPPEARANCE CLAIMERS APPEAR IN COURT

Four men appeared in Chingola Magistrate’s Court today over allegations of a manhood disappearance.

The accused are Richard Mambwe, 45, a Zambia Revenue Authority security officer, and three drivers from Seasons Company Bwalya Bwalya, 26, Most Sichalwe, 21, and Anthony Guvugu.

They face four counts of giving false information to Chief Inspector Mutota, claiming that Baxton Kampansa caused the disappearance of a private manhood.

In addition, Richard Mambwe is charged with one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm in connection with an alleged attack on Kampansa on March 24, 2026.

All four accused pleaded not guilty when the matter came up for plea. Mambwe is represented by Kennedy Nkundwe of M.R. Mumpa & Associates, while the three drivers are represented by Legal Aid.

Their lawyers applied for bail, arguing that the accused are Chingola residents, have stable employment, and are not flight risks.

The state requested more time to respond to the bail application, citing ongoing investigations involving one of the accused.

Magistrate Maybin Kapaya granted the adjournment, stating that a ruling on bail will follow once the state responds.

The matter has been adjourned to March 27, 2026, for the state’s response on bail and possible commencement of trial. The accused remain in custody.
