Judgement in a case where former Lusaka Province Minister Bowman Lusambo and five others are accused of unlawful assembly has been adjourned to 29 October 2025 by the Kabwe Subordinate Court.
The ruling has postponed because the judgement is not ready, with Magistrate Gloria Chipasha informing the court that she has been unwell.
Mr. Lusambo is charged alongside Billy Sichamba, Saidi Chibwana, Matthews Changwe, and Martin Simfukwe with unlawful assembly, contrary to Section 74(1) as read with Section 75 of the Penal Code, Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia.
The particulars of the offence allege that on November 2nd 2023, in Kabwe District of Central Province, the five jointly and while acting with others unknown unlawfully assembled at Brimas in Kabwe Town Centre and conducted themselves in a manner likely to cause people in the neighbourhood reasonable fear of a breach of the peace.
All the accused were present when the matter came up in court.
Magistrate Chipasha has told the court she has not been well but is now feeling a bit stronger on the day of the appearance.
The case will return to court on October 16th for mention, while judgement is scheduled for October 29th 2025.
