Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) Chief Electoral Officer Brown Kasaro says all 387 pallets of ballot papers for the August 13, 2026 General Election have now arrived in the country following the arrival of the final consignment.
Mr Kasaro says the ballot papers arrived in two consignments, with the first consisting of 202 pallets and the second comprising 185 pallets.
He explains that the second will also be transported from Kenneth Kaunda International Airport to the ECZ warehouse in Silverest for storage and verification
Mr Kasaro says the verification exercise will commence on Friday in the presence of stakeholders to determine the number of ballot papers allocated to each constituency, district and province before the final dispatch to polling stations across the country.
The ballot papers were printed in Dubai by AL Ghurair printing ans publishing company.
