Spain have beaten Saudi Arabia 5-0 in their Group H clash at Atlanta Stadium on Sunday, finding their attacking rhythm at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Both sides had been held to draws in their opening matches Spain frustrated by Cape Verde and goalkeeper Vozinha, while Saudi Arabia shared the points with Uruguay but there was no repeat performance from La Roja this time around.
Spain dominated from the start, controlling 72 percent of possession and creating chance after chance.
Lamine Yamal opened the scoring in the 10th minute, latching onto a low cross after a well-worked move to register his first ever World Cup goal. Mikel Oyarzabal doubled the lead from close range following a slick passing sequence involving Pedro Porro, Marc Cucurella and Dani Olmo , before Oyarzabal struck again to make it three before half-time.
Spain continued their dominant display after the break, with an own goal from Hassan Al Tambakti making it four ,before Ferran Torres completed the scoring deep into stoppage time to make it five.
Spain heads into the final round of Group H fixtures with positive, while Saudi Arabia will need a big response in their remaining match to keep their qualification hopes alive.
