Fifteen female politicians have come together and unite ahead of the 2026 general election to confront head on any huddles irrespective of political affiliation.
On behalf of the participating women leaders, National Democratic Congress (NDC) Party President Saboi Imboela has delivered a joint communique arising from a high-level dialogue between NGOCC and fifteen female politicians representing multiple political parties and independent platforms.
The meeting held brought together diverse female leaders to confront the challenges limiting women’s full participation in governance including financial barriers, deep-seated patriarchal norms, and low adoption of women, youths, and persons with disabilities as electoral candidates.
The communique highlights a renewed commitment to solidarity, resource mobilization, and collective action as the nation heads toward the 2026 General Elections.
Those represented include Citizens First, National Democratic Congress, National Restoration Party, New Era, Democratic Party, New Heritage Party, Socialist Party, Independent Candidates, Young Women in Action and Zambia National Association of Women with Disabilities.
