A witness, Wife to the Polygamist husband and alleged child defiler has told the court how she discovered that her 10 year old daughter was HIV positive despite being born negative.
This is in a matter in which a herbalist of Jack compound in Lusaka, who is married to three wives is alleged to have defiled his daughter and infected her with HIV.
Mother to the victim narrated to court that she was shocked at the HIV positive results of her daughter that she was given at Chawama level one hospital and decided to redo the test at the University Teaching Hospital UTH and was given same results.
She revealed that her decision stems from received reports from members of her household who suspected that she was being sexually abused.
She said her daughter was privately interrogated were she revealed that her father and three other members of the same household (brothers) had been having unlawfully carnal knowledge of her.
She told court that her step daughter had reported having found her in a compromising state, with her brother naked while another report was that her husband used to carry her from her bedroom at night to the sitting room, while he covered her other siblings with a blanket in the middle of the night.
Meanwhile in a related court matter, Arresting officer Peggy Malambo has told magistrate Ann Holland how three women stormed kabwata Police station attempting to bribe the officers so as to get their husband freed from custody who had been arrested and charged with incest.
In april this year, a video went viral on social media were mother to the defilement victim together with her co- wives, went to Kabwata police station in an attempt to bribe the police officers to release their husband, arrested on incest charges.
