The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has confirmed.

FAZ General Secretary, Reuben Kamanga, says Betani reported to camp whilst unwell and was referred to UTH from Kanyama Level One hospital for thorough examination.

Kamanga says the Zambian FA has engaged the family of the deceased, further urging the football family to mourn the striker with dignity.

Norin, who passed away on Wednesday morning at UTH, was among the 30-member provisional squad named by Head Coach Bruce Mwape for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games last round qualifier against Ghana.
