The Economic and Financial Crimes Court has found opposition Patriotic Front Acting President, Given Lubinda, with a case to answer in corruption related charges.
In this matter, Mr. Lubinda is accused of acquiring properties reasonably suspected to be proceeds of crime.
Mr. Lubinda is accused of receiving 50,000 dollars from China Africa Cotton Limited, property reasonably suspected of being proceeds of crime.
Mr. Lubinda is also accused of receiving 100,000 dollars from Qingdao Ruichang Cotton Industrial Company Limited property reasonably suspected of being proceeds of crime.
He is expected to commence his defence on October 23, 2023 before Magistrate Stanford Ngobola.
