Zambia Premier League says the Zambia Super League will officially be delinked from the Football Association of Zambia starting next season.

Zambia Premier League Chairman Cephas Katongo says the separation will bring about professionalism and success to the super league, women’s league and division one.

Speaking during the MTN super league awards in Kitwe, Mr. Katongo says the hurdles which were faced in the administration of the leagues will be a thing of the past.

FAZ Vice President Justin Mumba says FAZ is hopeful that the decision will attract more sponsors.
