Police in Mumbwa District of Central Province have arrested three people in connection with the disappearance of a corpse at Mumbwa Hospital Mortuary.
District Commissioner Namukulo Hayumbu who confirmed the matter to Diamond News, says the Police have detained a mortuary attendant, security guard and a relative to the deceased pending an investigation.
On 31st May, 2023 Police received a report of murder in which Mine Simwaka was shot dead by an unknown assailant using a firearm yet to be identified.
However, on 7th June, 2023, around 08:30 hours, a police pathologist from Lusaka traveled to Mumbwa to conduct a postmortem, only to discover Mr. Simwaka’s remains were missing.
