COPPER PRINCESSES SUFFER 5-0 DEFEAT TO JAPAN IN WORLD CUP OPENER

.

Zambia’s Copper Princesses have suffered a 5-nil defeat to Japan in their opening Group D match at the FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup in Rabat, Morocco.

The result is another setback for Zambia, who have now lost to Japan in three consecutive editions of the tournament.

Coach Carol Kanyemba’s side reached the Round of 16 last year and will be hoping to bounce back in their next match against Venezuela on Wednesday, October 21, to keep their hopes of reaching the knockout stage alive.
