Government has revised downwards the duration of loadshedding from eight hours to four hours daily.
Consumers will have power for a total of 20 hours in a day as opposed to the previous sixteen hours.
Energy Minister, Peter Kapala, has attributed the reduction of loadshedding hours to the increased water inflows in major electricity hydro power reservoirs.
He said this during the media engagement indaba on the energy sector organized by the Energy Regulation Board (ERB) in Lusaka.
Meanwhile, some people involved in Small Medium Enterprises that are dependent on electricity have welcomed the reduced hours of loadshedding.
