US-BACKED FINANCING OPENS NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR ZAMBIA’S PRIVATE SECTOR

.

Zambian private sector companies could gain access to alternative financing and insurance arrangements for eligible projects involving American companies, goods and services, opening up new opportunities for investment and business expansion.

Zambian Ambassador to the United States, Dr Chibamba Kanyama, says the financing support is expected to provide alternative funding options, particularly for private sector projects and businesses seeking to expand their operations.

Dr Kanyama says the arrangements could help address financing challenges faced by businesses while strengthening trade and investment links between Zambia and the United States.

He says the growing engagement is also expected to create opportunities for American companies to partner with Zambian businesses across various sectors of the economy.

The Ambassador says Zambia is positioning itself as an attractive investment destination and is ready to do business with investors and companies from the United States and other parts of the world.

The development comes as Zambia continues to explore innovative financing mechanisms to support private sector growth, attract investment and create employment opportunities.
