The Zambia U-20 national team will, this evening, go toe to toe with their Nigerian counterparts as part of preparations for the 2023 AFCON tournament.

Chisi Mbewe’s charges have been in Nigeria for the last two days and are expected to play Senegal in their last friendly match before setting camp in Egypt.

They take on Nigeria this evening at 17:00hrs at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

For this assignment, Mbewe has carried 23 players.

The Nigerians, who emerged winners of the WAFU B zone tournament, will be looking to the fast-paced Tolulope Ojo and Ibrahim Muhammad who were crucial to their title campaign.

The Cosafa champions are in Group C alongside Benin, Gambia, and Tunisia.

The top four teams at the AFCON, which will run from February 19 to March 11 in Egypt, will qualify for the FIFA World Cup to be held in Indonesia.
