
Chitambala Mwewa has been sworn in and officially installed as Lusaka Mayor, pledging inclusive development and stronger collaboration between the Lusaka City Council and residents.
Mr Mwewa has urged councillors to put the interests of the city first, saying effective councillors are key to building an effective city.
Mr Mwewa also credited the success of Operation Clear Path to the support of President Hakainde Hichilema and the ruling party, stressing the importance of collaboration.
Meanwhile, Foreign Affairs and International Corporation Minister Mulambo Haimbe has urged the new Mayor to lead with vision and integrity, while ensuring that every kwacha of Constituency Development Fund delivers value to residents.
