The Copper Princesses will step up preparations for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup with an international friendly against China in Morocco next month.
FAZ General Secretary Charles Chakatazya says Zambia will face China in Rabat on 9 October, eight days before the World Cup kicks off.
The match is expected to give the team valuable preparation ahead of its Group D campaign, which includes Japan, France and Venezuela.
FAZ is also working to secure two more friendlies against opposition from Europe and South America, as the Carol Kanyemba-led side prepares for its third consecutive appearance at the global tournament.
The FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup will be held in Morocco from 17 October to 7 November 2026. Zambia secured its place after defeating Ethiopia 3-2 on aggregate in the final round of the African qualifiers, earning the Copper Princesses a third consecutive appearance at the global tournament.
