Lusaka City Council has disclosed that it has resolved audit queries in a matter in which over K50, 000 was missing at BH Market in Lusaka.
In a communique to Diamond News, LCC Public Relations Manager Chola Mwamba says the K57, 571, 00 which was allegedly missing relates to payments made to ZANIS, Shorthorn and Zesco Ltd that were not supported with receipts at the time.
Ms. Mwamba however says the receipts have since been attached and the audit query has been corrected.
The local authority has also disclosed that management has transferred the Market Master at BH market back to the Civic Centre and replaced her with another person.
A check by Diamond News on Saturday revealed that traders at BH market had concerns regarding the management of the market where some funds were reportedly missing.
