CDP PRESIDENT DANNY PULE FOUND WITH A CASE TO ANSWER

.

The Lusaka Magistrates’ Court has found Christian Democratic Party (CDP) President Danny Pule with a case to answer in a matter where he is charged with seditious practices and making tribal remarks.

Pule’s charges stem from statements he allegedly made between May 16 and May 28, 2024, in which he claimed that President Hakainde Hichilema was promoting regionalism through his appointments allegations he has pleaded not guilty to.

In her ruling, Magistrate Sylvia Munyinya said the prosecution had presented sufficient evidence to warrant placing Pule on his defence.

The matter has been adjourned to Friday, December 12, 2025, for Pule to indicate how he intends to proceed with his defence, including whether he will call witnesses or exercise his right to remain silent.
