The Zambian Premier League (ZPL) has announced key adjustments to the 2025 MTN Super League calendar, confirming that this weekend’s matches ending Sunday, December 7th, will mark the final fixtures of the year.
According to a statement released by ZPL Head of Communications Christina Zulu, the mid-season break has been moved forward by one week to accommodate the Zambia Men’s National Team as it intensifies preparations for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2025), scheduled to run from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026.
Zulu notes that the exact date for the league’s resumption would be communicated in due course.
The adjusted break means teams will look to head into the pause on a strong note this weekend, with the final round of 2025 fixtures expected to carry added intensity as clubs aim to finish the year on a high.
