Four people have been arrested as suspects who allegedlyRah isk stole five computers containing data of officers who are under investigations for theft at the Lusaka City Council.

Lusaka City Council Town Clerk Brighton Mbaimbai has confirmed the development that the said suspects are detained at Lusaka’s Kabwata Police Station.

On September 23, 2022 some unknown criminals broke into the audit unit at LCC and stole the said items valued at ‘K113 million.”

The incidents occurred when the audit committee at the council were following up investigations of financial misappropriation and also theft by people employed by the council in various departments among them public Health, Legal and Housing.
