President Hakainde Hichilema has commissioned Zambia’s first-ever glucose and starch plant under Kingsworth Group Limited, a subsidiary of Trade Kings Group, at the Lusaka Multi-Facility Economic Zone.
The $110 million investment is expected to create over 1,000 jobs, prevent glucose importation, and source 126,000 metric tons of maize annually from local farmers.
Trade Kings Executive Director, Corporate Affairs Phil Tembo hailed the project as a boost to industrial growth.
