The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ ) President Keith Mweemba has warned against the indiscipline of some players and against all those trying to sabotage the progress of the association.
He sternly warns players that have refused to participate in national duties due to fees owed to them as an act of betrayal and an attempt to embarrass the nation emphasizing that the national team is not a playground of boycott and power plays.
He adds that no player is bigger than the national badge and the doors might not always be open to them because the country is not short of talent and should take playing for the national team as a privilege and not a right.
Mweemba also shares that the association coffers is currently broke and are in debt with over K100 million in unpaid allowances, accommodation and salaries but is determined to ensure the debt is cleared for the better development of the game of football.
The executive committee is scheduled to meet tomorrow for further discussions with the former committee.
