The Zambian and the Democratic Republic of Congo embassies in Brazil are planning on enhancing collaborations aimed at promoting their clean energy sectors.

Speaking after paying a courtesy call on DRC Ambassador to Brazil, Zambian Ambassador to Brazil Glyne Michelo said the relations of the two countries are key to improve their trade with Brazil.

Mr. Michelo is optimistic that Zambia and DRC will critically enhance the access to electric car batteries in Brazil, as they possess at least 80 percent of minerals in the production value chain.

In his welcoming remarks, DRC Ambassador to Brazil, Benoit-Labre Badidike commended the strong political and economic ties key in the electric car battery value chain.

Mr. Badidike has since called for increased cross border trade and investment between the two countries so as to create job opportunities for the youth and women.

This is contained in a statement issued by Embassy of Zambia to Brazil, First Secretary for Press and Public Relations, Lloyd Kapusa.
