
Vice President Mutale Nalumango is tomorrow expected to begin a nine-day working visit to Luapula Province aimed at engaging communities and monitoring the implementation of government development programmes across the province.
Announcing the visit, Luapula Province Permanent Secretary Prudence Chinama-Kangwa said the Vice President’s itinerary includes Chienge, Nchelenge, Mwense, Chifunabuli, Chembe, Chipili, Lunga, Mwansabombwe, Kawambwa, Samfya and Milenge districts.
Mrs. Chinama-Kangwa said during the tour, the Vice President is expected to meet traditional leaders, members of the clergy, civil servants, marketeers, youths, women’s groups and other stakeholders.
She added that the Vice President will also inspect selected development projects and address public gatherings in the various districts.
Mrs. Chinama-Kangwa said the visit will provide an opportunity for communities to interact with the Vice President on development issues and government programmes.
She has encouraged residents across Luapula Province to participate in the scheduled activities and accord the Vice President and her delegation a warm welcome.
