Former Chinsali Mayor Lucy Mukuka has announced her adoption as Member of Parliament for Chilinda Constituency on the United Party for National Development, UPND.
Ms Mukuka served as mayor of Chinsali under the Patriotic Front before recently defecting to the UPND.
In a post on her Facebook account, Ms Mukuka said the adoption was not her win alone, but a win for the people of Chilinda.
She thanked the party for trusting her with the mantle and pledged to work hard to secure the seat.
The Electoral Commission of Zambia ECZ delimitated Chilinda constituency from Chinsali constituency.
