Residents of Linda Compound in Livingstone, Southern Zambia, have been left shocked following the discovery of two bodies in what are suspected to be separate murder incidents.
The bodies, identified by family members as Muyunda Sifaya and Everisto Mundia, both of unknown age, were found in different locations within the vicinity of the United Church of Zambia (UCZ) premises in Linda Compound.
While police have not yet released an official statement on the matter, sources at the scene suspect the two men may have been killed elsewhere and their bodies later dumped near the church grounds.
The discoveries have attracted a huge crowd of concerned residents, many of whom express fear over the area’s security situation and called for increased police patrols and enhanced community safety measures.
Police officers later picked the bodies and transported them to the Batoka Mortuary for postmortem examinations, while burial arrangements are expected to be made by the respective families.
