Lusaka, 21st April 2026 – Musanza Television has been officially re-launched in partnership with Diamond Media Group, marking a significant step in expanding local language broadcasting and promoting inclusive access to information.

Speaking at the event, Minister of Information and Media Hon. Cornelius Mweetwa commended the initiative, noting that broadcasting in local languages enhances communication, cultural preservation and community participation.

The Minister also urged media houses to uphold professionalism and avoid misinformation, especially ahead of the 2026 general elections, while reaffirming Government’s commitment to media freedom.

Meanwhile, Musanza TV Board Chairperson Bishop Kenan Ndhlovu said the re- launch reflects the institution’s commitment to delivering quality, impactful and inclusive content.

Musanza Television will focus on broadcasting in major local languages, aimed at universal access to information for communities that are often underserved by mainstream media.

The station is expected to play a key role in informing, educating and entertaining audiences while strengthening national unity.

The re-launch, undertaken in partnership with Diamond Media Group, underscores the institution’s commitment to innovation and audience-centered programming.

Originally founded by the late Henry Chibulu, Musanza Television has undergone significant transformation under a governing Board, positioning it for long-term sustainability and wider reach through its collaboration with Diamond Media Group.

The station is expected to contribute meaningfully to Zambia’s media landscape by amplifying local voices and supporting national development efforts through responsible journalism.
