Police have recovered a laptop belonging to the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) that was stolen from a Mandevu Constituency tallying centre during the election period.
Police Deputy Inspector Fred Hamamba says officers, with the help of members of the public, trailed the suspects, leading to the recovery of the laptop.
He says the occupants of a Toyota Vitz motor vehicle, bearing a truck registration number plate, fled the scene and are currently on the run.
Mr. Hamamba says the laptop is currently at Lusaka Central Police Station as investigations continue.
Meanwhile, today marks 13 days since Election Day, and the Mandevu Constituency parliamentary seat has not yet been announced.
