10-year-old Chikondi Banda who was allegedly abducted on Thursday last week in Lusaka’s Northmead area has been found dead in a drainage behind Emmasdale Police Station.

An eye witness, Dickson Ngoma, has told Diamond News that he discovered the decomposed body of the boy with his head covered in a plastic bag round 09:00 hours on Tuesday when he went to get some maize from his field.

The deceased boy lived with his parents in Garden-Chilulu Compound and was a grade five pupil at Naluma Private School.

Deputy Police Public Relations Officer Danny Mwale has confirmed the incident that there may have been foul play especially that the juvenile was found in a decomposed state.

The body has been deposited in the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) mortuary.
