Congolese politician Moïse Katumbi has refuted claims circulating online that he has endorsed a presidential candidate in Zambia’s upcoming general elections.
In a statement issued today 21 July 2026,Mr Katumbi says he respects the sovereignty, territorial integrity and internal affairs of neighbouring countries and would not interfere in Zambia’s electoral process.
He says he has nothing to do with the misleading information being circulated under his name and has urged the public to disregard the allegations.
Mr.Katumbi has further stated that he has not endorsed any presidential candidate or political party in Zambia and does not intend to do so, saying the country’s leadership is a matter for the Zambian people alone to decide.
