Barts Football Club has announced that it has given its Men’s Division One position to Armour’s FC, citing the need to focus on its other football programmes.
Club president Bart Barker says the decision was made after considering the club’s commitments, including Barts Queens’ participation in the FAZ National League and the continued growth of its academy and grassroots programmes.
He says football in Zambia requires significant financial and logistical resources, and the club wants to ensure it can adequately support its players.
Barker says the club followed the necessary procedures before completing the transition, including informing football authorities and engaging Armour’s FC.
He says Barts FC remains active and will continue focusing on Barts Queens, the academy and grassroots football development.
Barker says some players will move to Armour’s FC while others are expected to join bigger clubs once transfer processes are completed.
