Acting President, W.K. Mutale Nalumango has assured Zambians the harsh economic doldrums will come to pass some day.
Speaking on Diamond TV’s COSTA, Ms. Nalumango, says her government cannot shy away that times are tough for ordinary citizens and it is why interventions to save the free fall of the local currency, Kwacha, is meant to give the economy a lifeline.
She reaffirms, it is too early to be judged on performance in the three years served so far, since the UPND’s roadmap to fix the mess it inherited is yet to gain tangible results.
But when asked by host, Cost Mwansa, how far citizens should hold on, the Acting President has not given a timeline when the high cost of living will slump.
