The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has revealed that Copper Queens Head coach Nora Häuptle approached the FA, requesting a 50 percent salary reduction to allow her take on additional employment while retaining her position as Senior Women’s National team coach.
FAZ Head of Communications Nkweto Tembwe has confirmed the development, adding that Häuptle also sought to be released from her duties as technical advisor to Zambia’s junior national teams.
Tembwe has further disclosed that the Swiss trainer has filed a complaint with FIFA, seeking compensation that includes bonuses for future fixtures.
However, FAZ insists Häuptle has been paid all outstanding dues in full and carries no pending arrears.
