A couple from Meanwood Kwamwena in Lusaka has reportedly separated following the tragic drowning of their two children by their stepmother.
Twenty-six-year-old Fanny Kanyinji says she and her husband Titus Kamanga, are currently living apart following the incident.
Ms. Kanyinji says she is still mourning the loss of her children and will never forget the tragedy.
The two have appealed to law enforcement agencies to expedite the prosecution of the suspect, 26-year-old Mary Kachilika, who remains in police custody awaiting court proceedings.
On February 24, 2026, Mary Kachilika allegedly drowned two children, aged six and two, belonging to her co-wife in the Ngwerere Stream.

The Body of the second child has not yet been found.
