Cosmas Chongo Mulenga has emerged as Africa’s Best Young Sports Broadcaster in the International Sports Press Association (AIPS) 2025 Awards.
This follows the continental rankings published on 25th April, 2026 by AIPS for the 2025 edition of the awards.
Mulenga tops the list of the Top 10 African sports journalists under the age of 30 in the broadcasting category.
His story, “She fought with men. She fought the odds. And she won.” was selected as the best story in Africa, and the second-best in the world in his category, by a 12-member jury consisting of international sports experts.
Mulenga now adds another title to his name as Africa’s Best Young Sports Broadcaster and a two-time World’s Second Best Young Sports Broadcaster, having been previously recognised in the same category at the global level.
The AIPS Awards are regarded as the highest accolade in sports journalism across the world, celebrating excellence and storytelling at the highest level.
