The trial of Archbishop Dr. Alick Banda over alleged unlawful possession of a motor vehicle has failed to take off at the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court due to the unavailability of the prosecutor handling the matter.
The case, in which Dr. Banda is charged with possessing a blue Toyota Hilux suspected to have been unlawfully obtained from Zambia Revenue Authority was scheduled to begin today, November 3, 2026.
Senior Resident Magistrate Mwandu Nakazwe has since adjourned the matter to November 6, 2026, for commencement of trial.
