Director at the Ministry of Information and Media Thabo Kawana says the Food Reserve Agency will start selling maize directly to communities in far flung areas.
Mr. Kawana has noted with concern that some unscrupulous people are exploiting others by exaggerating the price of mealie meal.
Mr. Kawana has also disclosed that the government is aware of a scheme by Oil Marketing Companies (OMC) to manipulate fuel shortage as a way to arm twist government.
Mr. Kawana has urged OMC to engage government on their issues.
