Stakeholders in the business sector have urged government to formulate a business module, that will allow Kasenseli Gold Mine in Mwinilunga District, to operate as a profitable entity.
North Western Chamber of Commerce and Industries-NWCCI President, Mukumbi Kafuta, says there is need for government to ensure that a business module is put in place before they can open the mine, to avoid squandering of the National asset.
Meanwhile, Mine Workers Union of Zambia- MUZ, Joseph Chewe, has called on government to expedite the process of making the mine operational.
The Republican President, Hakaide Hichilema, last year, announced that production at Kasenseli Gold Mine will resume in 2023, after closure of the mine for over a year
