.

President Hakainde Hichilema has appointed 24 Cabinet Ministers and 10 Provincial Ministers, urging them to demonstrate humility, integrity and commitment to national development, reminding them that their appointments are a responsibility to serve all Zambians equally.

Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony, President Hichilema says , prayer helps, but witchcraft does not, encouraging the ministers to remain prayerful as they undertake their new responsibilities.

The President emphasised that no Zambian is less important than another and that all citizens deserve equitable service delivery, regardless of their political affiliation or how their representatives entered Parliament.

He has urged the ministers to build on the progress made during his first term and avoid complacency, stressing that the country’s development depends on collective responsibility, teamwork and accelerated economic growth driven by investment and trade.

President Hichilema also challenged the ministers to eliminate bureaucratic delays, improve efficiency in public institutions and prioritise job creation, warning that unnecessary administrative bottlenecks must not stand in the way of investment and development.

He says the reorganisation of government ministries was intended to streamline operations, clarify responsibilities and accelerate service delivery, particularly in areas such as digitalisation, energy, trade and revenue collection.

The President further called for greater collaboration among Cabinet members and permanent secretaries, urging them to share a common vision and hold one another accountable for delivering results.

He says the ultimate measure of their performance should be the tangible benefits citizens receive, including employment opportunities, reliable electricity, improved public services and sustainable economic growth.
