First Quantum Minerals Trident Limited says it remains committed to supplement government’s efforts in talent identification among young people in schools and communities in Kalumbila district.
Speaking at the FQM Trident Limited Community tournament, which comprised football and chess, held on Independence Day in Kalumbila District, FQM Trident Limited General Manager Junior Keyser says the hosting of such tournaments helps to develop skills and talent in young people.
Keyser says the tournaments also motivate young people to reach higher heights through the use of their talents such as getting to play in national teams.
And government through the District Administrative Office has hailed FQM Trident Limited for having hosted the tournament.
Kalumbila district administrative officer Frank Siatwinda has urged young people to use the tournaments as a platform to display their talents.
