The Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) has cancelled the operating licence of Beeline Telecoms Limited, trading as Zed Mobile.
ZICTA Board Chairperson Professor Mundia Muya says the mobile network provider is no longer entitled to operate.
Professor Muya says the cancellation follows, among other reasons, the company’s failure to pay statutory fees and to implement the required network rollout.
