Copperbelt Police Commissioner Mwala Yuyi is set to be replaced by Western Province Commanding Officer Rae Hamoonga following his transfer to Lusaka for redeployment.
In a farewell address to the media, Mr. Yuyi says it was time to bid farewell after serving on the Copperbelt.
Mr. Yuyi expressed gratitude to members of the media for their support during his tenure on the Copperbelt and urged them to extend the same cooperation to his successor.
He says he hopes the media will render to Mr. Hamoonga the same support they gave to him.
He served as Copperbelt Commanding Officer during a period that saw heightened police operations in districts including Kitwe, Ndola, Chingola and Mufulira among others.
