Some suspected United Party for National Development (UPND) cadres have assaulted traders at Lusaka’s Lilanda Market.
One of the traders, Geoffrey Mwanza, narrates to diamond News that he was approached by a group of over 20 people who started beating him on allegations that he is supporting the removal of a named cooperative from the market.
The traders found at the market also expressed concern over continued fights at the market and call on authorities to move in and resolve the issue before lives are lost.
Efforts to get a comment from the party leadership however failed by press time.
