The Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) has denied issuing any directive to any media house to stop airing an interview involving former Zambia Intelligence Services officer Xavier Chungu.
Mr. Chungu, leader of the Liberal Democratic Party, is among the 14 aspiring presidential candidates who successfully filed their nominations to contest the 2026 General Elections.
In response to a query, IBA Director General Webster Malido said the authority does not preview, edit, approve, or censor broadcasting programmes prior to transmission.
