A retired police inspector from Mansa Police Station has told the court that IBA Director General Guntila Muleya murder suspect Francis Chipyoka identified himself as the man in a photograph of a wanted murder suspect.
Moses Nkambi, 50, testified that Mr Chipyoka was intercepted in Mansa on July 28, 2024, after Lusaka Division Police issued instructions for the arrest of a suspect who was at large.
Mr Nkambi said Mr Chipyoka, who claimed he had just arrived in Mansa around 05:00 hours, stated that he was there for the Mutomboko Ceremony of Mwata Kazembe, which had ended on Saturday, July 27, 2024.
Meanwhile, Peter Kamuchele, 35, a former administrative officer at Checkmark Travel and Tours, told the court that on Saturday, July 27, 2024, around 15:00 hours, Mr Chipyoka hired a Toyota Prado TX, registration number AIE 3985. He said he would use it to travel to Livingstone for a funeral but failed to return it at the agreed time.
