The UPND Health Committee has commended President Hakainde Hichilema and the New Dawn Government for the recruitment of 3,205 healthcare workers across the country.
The committee says the move demonstrates government’s commitment to strengthening the health sector and improving service delivery for Zambians.
In a statement, UPND Health Committee Coordinator and Public Relations Officer Jerome Nkonjela said the recruitment will help ease workload pressures in health facilities, improve efficiency, and ensure timely access to quality healthcare, especially in underserved areas.
He added that investing in human resources for health is key to building a resilient and responsive healthcare system.
Mr. Nkonjela further said the development aligns with the UPND administration’s agenda of prioritising citizen welfare through improved healthcare infrastructure and adequate staffing.
The committee has since reaffirmed its support for government’s ongoing efforts and called for continued investment in the health sector to meet the country’s growing healthcare needs.
