Zambia’s Copper Queens have departed for Cuiabá, Brazil, for the FIFA Series tournament, where they will face Canada, Brazil and South Korea.
However, the squad travels without several key players. Bay FC forward Racheal Kundananji, ZESCO United pair Eneless Phiri and Avell Chitundu, and Altaraji’s Xiomara Mapepa have all been ruled out through injury.
Evarine Katongo will also miss the tournament not through injury, but due to the ongoing conflict in Israel, where she is based.
