The Zambia Senior Women’s National team have been eliminated from the COSAFA Senior Women’s Championship, after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Namibia in the semifinals of the competition.
Namibia secured the lone goal of the match in the 89th minute through Juliana Blou to seal their place in the final, ending Zambia’s hopes of defending the regional crown.
Despite showing moments of promise, the Copper Queens were unable to break through Namibia’s defense, as the Brave Gladiators held firm to protect their late lead until the final whistle.
Namibia now advances to the final, while Zambia exits the competition at the semifinal stage.
