Ballot papers for the upcoming by-elections in Mutondo and Litawa wards have been delivered to the Mongu Municipal Council ahead of the polls set for December 31, 2025, in Nalikwanda Constituency, Western Province.
Election officials carried out the arrival and verification of the ballot papers in preparation for the by-elections, which will be held under heightened electoral supervision.
In Mutondo Ward, the United Party for Prosperous Zambia (UPPZ) and the United Party for National Development (UPND) are contesting the seat, while in Litawa Ward, UPPZ, UPND, and the Labour Movement (LM) are in the race.
The participating political parties have expressed readiness for the polls, noting that their campaign structures are in place and that they are committed to a peaceful and credible electoral process.
