Chipolopolo defender Stoppila Sunzu has been ruled out of tomorrow’s Africa Cup of Nations Group A opener against Mali after falling ill in Casablanca.
Coach Moses Sichone confirmed during a pre-match press conference that Sunzu developed abdominal pains and was assessed by the team’s medical staff, who advised him to rest.
The defender did not participate in yesterday’s training session and will not be available for selection when Zambia faces Mali at 16:00 hours tomorrow.
